While it can be expensive, it is upgraded regularly and it is an incredible product. Ableton is an extremely popular DAW this is hands down the best for live performance. What makes is Ableton so popular is the fact that it is easy to use. While all DAWs are similar in a sense, Ableton seems to have the most tutorials available for users on Youtube. As far as community goes, Ableton Live has an incredibly active community that is always helpful to users.
Logic Pro X is also known for having a great community to lean on when you need help. This is one of the reasons why I think Ableton is so great. With so many producers using Ableton, you can pretty much always find answers to problems. Reaper is the most cost-effective alternative. While it can be tricky to learn at first, it only costs what you afford per month. Fl Studio has risen in popularity over the years after starting as more of a budget option.
With that being said, it works with Windows and it is very popular and worth the mention. Pro Tools was widely considered the most professional DAW for years. Cakewalk has quite the story as it was once an expensive DAW. Since going through company changes, Cakewalk is now free and just as powerful as it once was. You will need Windows 7 or higher and I would recommend a moderately fast PC overall for the best user experience.
Should you be familiar with Logic Pro X, but be wanting to try something free before purchasing, this is a great option. While you can technically get Logic Pro X for Windows , we recommend just learning a new DAW and not having to do deal with the hassle of doing so.

Both of this show Apple's influence in the industry, since no one else could get project files directly from such high profile artists, as well as give you an idea of how complete is the toolset in Logic. Neither of this projects have plugins, nor do they need them.
Audio manipulation was another highlight. I expected to get an auto-tune bounce of the vocals but I was greatly surprised when I found that not only were the alternative versions of the phrases included both of them do a lot of vocal comping but the pitch correction was also done natively, which means you could explore the raw samples.

I have loved LP Live Loops and the flexibility of use with a control surface. There are tons of loops available which allow me to experiment various songs ideas. The loops are very adjustable and flexible to work with in LP and I am able to use a control surface with a lot of ease for faster workflow.
I was excited with news of LP optimization for M1 Pro computers. However, it has been tears for me and a long story of regrets for another day. Nothing seems to work anymore. The software keeps on crashing. There does not seem to be a solution and almost tempted to move on to something else for now. For the price they ask you can sure try other Daws and buy also some extras. I think it is very expensive for what they deliver. As the title says.. Now there are many others companies out there that i believe are better and they trying to get as much customers as they can.
